Made from organically and sustainably grown spelt, this flour is milled with meticulous care and without treatments such as chemical bleaching, alcohol treatments or additives.
Spelt is an ancient grain which tends to have a slightly nuttier flavour than standard flour. Wholemeal spelt flour is made from the whole grain and can replace whole wheat flour in most baking recipes, giving a sweet, nutty flavour. It’s popular for its nutritional value – with good levels of dietary fibre and protein.
Uses: Because of its lighter texture, spelt flour is perfect for more delicate baking projects such as pastries, biscuits and cakes, light pastas and pizza bases.
