What is your role at Down To Earth Organics?

In store practitioner, customer service and anything else that needs doing!!

What is Homeopathy?

Great question! In a nutshell, Homeopathy is a system of medicine that stimulates the body’s own healing response. It is based on the simple natural principle, that any substance which has the power to harm you in large doses,  also has the power to heal, when taken in micro doses. "Similia Similibus Curantur -  Like should be cured by like”

What inspired you to become a Homeopath?

My son  had eczema as an infant , so I made an appointment with a local homeopath and was amazed at the results to his skin, which were almost  overnight. It still amazes me, especially when I'm treating  children and seeing  how quickly they respond. It truly is the magic of the minimum dose!

Can animals be treated with homeopathy?

Absolutely! They respond so well to the remedies and their symptoms are so much more clear cut. No ego getting  in the way!

Can you tell us about how you incorporate wellness into your daily routine?

At my place, every day is a workout! Mucking out paddocks twice a day keeps me strong, walking the dogs keeps me fit, being with my animals keeps me sane! I also love my rock it board, which is great for balance and flexibility. And you can't beat dancing in the kitchen while making dinner, to up your cardio and  lift your spirits. And of course, eating organic food!

Do you have any fur babies yourself?

Haha, yes a bit of a zoo at my place! 3 horses, 1 miniature horse, 2 goats, 3 chickens, 4 quails, 2 cats, 2 dogs, plus about 50 ducks currently hiding out in my pond! I'm sure they must know the date when duck hunting season starts!

Do you follow any regime when it comes to food and nutrition?

I follow a keto lifestyle, food plan which means low carbs, moderate amounts of protein and higher amounts of healthy fats. Plus, all you can eat, salad greens! There's always a salad for lunch and dinner, sometimes breakfast too!

How do you like to spend your downtime?

I love my garden, it's my place of meditation and solace. Getting your hands in the dirt is good for your soul. Plus, I need to use all of that composted poo somewhere!

Is there one book you would recommend everyone read?

The Psychology of Totalitarianism by Mattias Desmet.

What are your top 3 supplements you wouldn’t go without?

I start every morning with Vitamin C. I love the Be Pure or the NaturopathsOwn range that we have in store. Next is, Vitamin D, so important for our winter immunity, actually I take it  all year round. Then lastly I can't do without Digestive Enzymes!

What is your favourite product instore?

I LOVE Glory Oil. I love the whole range of Eco by Sonya but the glory oil is a little bottle of magic oil, for my sensitive, dry, I hate everything put on me skin!

Best part of working at DTE?

The customers who come back and tell me how much better they are feeling from the product I have recommended. They are the reason why I love my job as a  practitioner .
